2018年11月24日、創立70周年を迎えた中野区体育協会より、伊藤孝三郎舘長の永年にわたる空手道の普及振興活動に対して、表彰状を頂戴いたしました。
来年の8月2日に、沖縄で開催される第３回沖縄空手世界大会を宣伝するために、沖縄県が剛柔流の喜久川政成十段を団長とする4名からなる、海外キャラバンを米国に派遣しました。11月17日にはジョージア州アトランタでセミナーが開催されましたが、アメリカ尚礼舘空手協会会員でジョージア州日米協会の会長を務めるジムさんが、付きっきりで喜久川先生の通訳をされ、また、先生方を日本総領事館や日本が寄贈した平和の鐘が在るカーターセンター等にお連れしました。超ご多忙の中でのご支援誠に有難く感謝申し上げます。ジムさんは40年前に国際基督教大学に留学生として来日され、中野の尚礼舘本部で初段を取得されました。
Shoreikan teaches spiritual growth as well as a proper mindset for martial arts through Okinawa Goju-Ryu Karate Katas and traditional Karate exercises and training.
